yard sale for baby clothes, pricing question? What's a good price for used baby sleepers, undershirts, dresses, pants, shirts, blankets?? ... etc. I am planning a yard sale of all my daughter's clothing since she was born. I had a baby boy, so I can sell all the baby girl clothes & blankets.

Best way to organize baby clothes at rummage/yard sale? We had a multi-family yard sale this past weekend and between all of us we had an overwhelming amount of baby clothes... boy and girl, newborn through 5T. We neatly folded and tagged everything... and placed all boy stuff on one table, girl stuff on the other. We even had signs taped to the table indicating sections with different sizes. Of course, within the first 30 minutes of the sale, the table was in shambles and it was impossible to keep it in order throughout the day. It ended up being a large pile of clothes and was difficult for buyers to find anything. In your experience, what is the best way to organize obscene amounts of baby clothes for a sale? We plan to have a sale annually and don't want to make the same mistake next time. Thanks!

The big toss up: sell baby clothes at yard sale or keep them just in case? My son is 2.5 and we have 4 tubs of clothes downstairs. We have an upcoming yard sale and we could use the cash......... because......... We are due with a baby girl in October. This is our second baby and I've already gone through the boxes and pulled out any gender neutral items (not much.) Now what? Even if I got pregnant right away, and it happened to be a boy - it would be at least 2 years until I needed those clothes... with a lot of "ifs" and "maybes" in there. Sell or keep?

What should I drink before my ultrasound to be sure the baby is moving around during it? I wanna be sure the baby is kicking around to see if it's a boy or girl!! What's the best thing to wake that baby up? Juice, milk, pop, coffee. I'm hardly ever drink pop or coffee but I will before the ultrasound if it'll get that baby to be awake for it. My directions say I can drink anything I want to so it doesn't have to be just water. I'd really like to know the gender so if it is a girl this time I can be sure to go garage sale searching now for cheap baby girl clothes so she won't have to wear all of my son's baby clothes! :) It's a boy!! I drank the 12 oz of water and then 4 oz of orange juice. the baby moved around quite a bit during the entire ultrasound and they got all the measurements just fine!

Does your baby have more clothes than you? My 7 1/2 month old certainly does. I just sorted through her wardrobe today and tried some 9-12 months clothes on her and she has around 40 outfits! I always buy things in the sale for her as does her Grandmothers. Also do you think there are more girls clothes options than boys? Did your baby wear 3-6 month clothes while actually 3-6 months? I'm having a girl April 4th and I'm going to a huge baby sale tomorrow and I want to buy mostly 3-6 month clothes but I'm worried she may be too small/large for 3-6 by the time she is actually 3-6 months. I was born 5lbs, my husband was born 11 lbs so there's a huge difference there! I'm only concerned because they will have to be summer clothes since it will be July when she's 3 months.....and if they're too small or large it may be cold again by the time she can wear them.

has anyone been told they were having a boy and when the baby was born it was a girl? we had the ultrasound done at 20 weeks and when she was looking for the private parts i thought i saw 3 lines and then the tech moved and when she tried to find it again something was sticking up and she took the picture it was laying toward the side of the leg not sticking up. you cant see a sac with it. it doesn't even look connected.the baby had its legs open the whole time. i have had 2 daughters and one son. my son had his ultrasound at 18 weeks and u could tell that he was a boy. my last daughter i was told she was a girl and then the dr. came in to take a look and thought it was a boy because the labia was swollen. she was stillborn at 22 weeks. i',m having dreams that its a boy and when its born its a girl. the tech was young. my husbands family goes to yard sales and buys the baby clothes and i don't want to have all boy clothes when its a girl. could you be able to see big balls with the penis or would you be able to tell at all

Im having a garage sale and want to know what to put out for sale. The sale will be in Mo. and I have tons of baby clothes and boy and girl clothes both winter and summer wich season do you think people will be more willing to buy. where can i sell new and used baby-toddler stuff? we currently live in lincoln, ne in an apartment so i can't have a "garage sale" and i am not too sure if i can sell any of the items on e-bay because they are used. Is this acceptable as a baby shower gift? A girl I work with got garage sale clothes from her mother-in-law at her baby shower. They weren't washed & still had the little stickers on them. would you buy on ebay if the seller has no feed back, seller is new to ebay? The item for sale is a large lot of baby girl gap clothes nwt 12 to 18 months. The seller is showing pictures and has a reserve to meet. The current bid is at $61. is it a bad ideal to bid? I have bought on ebay before but the sellers have never had no feed back. I post this question under the parenting section to get moms opinion.

Today was my first day at work. I hate the job. What do u think? Today was my first day working at the Gap as a stocker. Anyway, I was supposed to be trained on what to do. I walk in and no one is training me and I am just cutting open boxes. Anyway, some girl is like 'sorry, I thought u were someone from another store' Anyway, she tells me how to scan merchandise and how to figure out the things for what's on sale, how they wanted the pants, shirts, baby's clothes boy clothes, baby girl clothes folded. There was a lot to remember and they already expected me to go super fast. The girl is like by next week I would have to go really fast. I am wondering how she expects that when I don't know what's on sale. She was actually really polite and showing me stuff, saying 'it's ok! it's ur first day.' But she was also like 'We would be on adults by now but we have someone to train' , 'the boss better not complain that we're not going fast enough. They didn't tell me that I would have a guy to train and teach how to fold clothes!"

Can someone give me some garage sale help? I know this may not be in the right category, but I thought other parents could help. I'm having a garage sale in a week and I have no idea how to price things. I have only ever gone to a couple garage sales so I don't really have an idea on how to set my prices. I'll just be selling some of the kids clothes, a lot of baby girl outfits only worn once or twice. What do you ask for things like that? I know not to set prices too high, but how high is too high? Need help with mother in law? Ok so here is the story.... I love my mother in law and i am very thankfull to how kind she is with me and my baby girl. But She buys my baby girl used clothes (from garage sale all the time! ) My hubby (her son) has already told her to not buy them but she continues to buy them. what age did you want to settle down? I just turned 20 last week. I will be a junior in college in the fall. Lately I've been feeling like things are never going to go right for me. I haven't dated anyone in 4 years partly because I don't have time because I work and I'm in school but mostly because there is nobody I am interested in. Most of the guys in this city are dirtbags and most 20 year olds just want to party and drink. I know it's not the time for it now but I really want to get married and start a family. I think about it everyday. I have loads of pregnancy and parenting books and I go to yard sales and goodwill to pick out baby clothes. I have two big tubs of clothing. One tub has baby boy clothing in it and the other has baby girl clothing. I started going to yard sales to find things for pregnant friends but always end up keeping about half of what I find for myself. I love going through the clothes and looking at the teeny onesies.... I get jealous of friends my age and younger who are pregnant and I wonder if that will ever happen for me. I know I'm so young and want to finish school before I settle down but I'm worried that I won't find Mr. Right until I'm 30 or something. I want to have a baby in the next 3 years and if the right guy was in my life now I would get married. Lol. Was anyone else like this at my age? I have wanted to be a mommy all my life. I babysit for just about every family at my church and I love it. I just wish I had a little angel to call me mommy. Oh yeah and I'm a virgin and want to wait until I'm married until I have sex. I don't think I can wait until I'm 27 lol. I want to be married now. I hate trying to pay the bills by myself and like I said all my friends are married with kids so it's hard to find roommates. Murphy324- it's actually not uncommon for a female to have baby clothes. I know a few women who did this and are awesome mothers now. I don't really expect myself to keep the clothes for my babies per se. I will eventually probably give them to a friend. I don't agree with you that there's something wrong with me and I'm definately not going to sleep with a random guy to get pregnant. Apparently you didn't read the part where I want to find the right guy and get married. I just think my maternal instincts are in overdrive and I'm getting an early start on preparing for marriage and family by reading books and such. Thanks for the input though. What gift to get for a newborn? I am visiting my friend in the hospital tonight that just had a baby girl. I brought her a cute dress outfit & matching hat on sale at Gap in 3-6months. Were you told you were having a boy/girl and the ultrasound tech was wrong? I had an ultrasound at 20 weeks and the tech told me I'm having a girl! This will most likely be my last child so I was going to have a yard sale and sell all my baby boy clothes, but then I started thinking - what if she was wrong?!?!? So I was wondering - anybody out there who was told incorrectly what the sex of your baby was? The tech was sure it was a girl, but you just never know....

baby shower gift question...is it just me or.....? does everyone like to get stuff for the kid when they are older? i just bought a gift for a friend of mine, i got her 4 outfits size 18 months and take and toss sippy cups, spoons and bowls. and a boardbook. i loved having a couple outfits for my girl that were bigger. plus these clothes were on sale so i could buy more of them. the baby is due @ the end of august so i thought 18 months would fit next summer...we know how baby clothes shrink. what do you think?

Are you obsessed with buying your baby clothes? I didn't know what having a girl would do to me lol. It's so so fun shopping for her and dressing her up. To my credit, almost everything I buy her is either on clearance or really cheap to begin with. A lot of what I've gotten have been from garage sales that were new or gently used and nothing for over a dollar and it's all name brand- Gap, Old Navy, Childrens Place, Gymboree etc. I get so many compliments on her clothes and people can't believe when I tell them it was fifty cents :) I just love dressing my baby up. I on the other hand look like a bum most of the time lol

How to price baby items for garage sales? I am selling all my baby girl items. What did you do with your baby's clothes that don't fit him/her anymore? My son is now 9weeks old and has A LOT of clothes that don't fit him anymore and a lot of them havn't even been worn yet. :( I feel bad if I sell them on a rummage sale this summer. Or should I save them because my husband and I would like to have another baby in the future. But it's totally all boy stuff and what happens if we have a girl. Is there a market for inexpensive all male clothing store geared for newborns to toddlers? I am very upset in how there is an overwhelming amount of clothing options for girls in department stores. I like my son to wear a sophisicated, classy, sporty urban look. The only clothes that come close to these looks are at babygap and children's place in pittsburgh, pa. but unfortunately they charge an arm and a leg for baby clothes which only has but so much fabric to it! do yal feel theres a market out there for an all boys clothing store? I want to be able to buy clothes for my son without having to use coupons or wait for good sales to get the clothing I want and i dont think anybody else with son's should have to either. girls clothes dont cost that much! Girls have several clothing stores to choose from but little boys dont. the market im gearing towards is only males from newborn to toddler with inexpensive clothing in it. including coats, ties, suits, hats, wallets, etc.

What are some things to start collecting early on for new baby? I'm currently 15 weeks along and going to for the big ultrasound on May 28th. Baby shower for my second baby? I am pregnant with my second baby, a girl we just found out! My first child is a boy and is around 22 month old. We have his crib and changing table and we got a dresser from a yard sale real cheap, but all the clothes, blankets and decor I have is blue and screams boy. I don't mind putting her in some of the boy onesies or sleepers, but I'd like her to have clothes for girls and a decor that is at least a little girly. I bought 300 dollars (all sales) worth of clothing for my arriving baby girl. It goes from newborn, 0-3 months and 3-6 months. Though labeled (0-3 months, 3-6 months) there are some that seem the same size when putting them side by side. It's my first so I don't know if I bought too much and the wrong sort of clothing. I bought: 13 footie sleepers 2 pull string at the bottom and hand cover sleepers 3 no footie sleepers/outfits 5 nice newborn outfits 15 dresses ranging from 0-3 and 3-6 5 pants, ranging from 0-3 and 3-6 2 shorts and 1 skirt 10 hoodies and knitted cardigans, ranging in sizes from 0-3,3-6 15 snaps without long sleeves or legging pieces (onezies) 3 shirts, 2 sweaters, and 16 pairs of shoes (ranging in size 0,1,2,3) Did I buy too much of the wrong things or are these items good purchases?
