how long can infantigo live on your body? I've had a rash on the back of my leg, right where my leg bends, and it's been there for almost two months now, it hasn't spread but it itches like crazy! Could it be infantigo?
what kind of cream can I put on infantigo? i have infantigo but after 7 days and 14 pills at 200mg a day i still have the infantigo spot. the bad thing is it is getting bigger. Is there a cream that i can put on it to help get rid of it? please help

Can multiple flea bites cause infantigo. I think that is how you spell it . lol? When we moved in my younger son of 18 months recieved multible bits all over his body and his grandmother said that would give him infantigo. What is that and is it possable? A Bunch of boys at my school are getting something called Infantigo from wrestling and at first they thought it was ringworm. But my mother told me that Infantigo is the scientific name for ringworm..or so she thought....

I think my daughter has infantigo. Does anyone know of something I could use to help ease the itch?? she has an appointment made, but not for another week. My mom brought over some t-gel shampoo, (it's on her scalp and she has really thick hair) but we don't know if I should use it. The doctors office is closed until monday and I don't want her going the whole weekend feeling awful or spreading it.

Do infantigo leave scars? i had infantigo for 2 weeks,i went to doctors and got meds for face and anit bionctis and it got better and clear up but theres still red dots look like scars.. should i go to doctor again for stronger meds?

Do i have Infantigo....? When I was out the other night I got six or seven mosquito bites on the back of my legs. I stayed inside all the next day and night. When I got up the next morning it was like the bites had spread all up the front of my leg. My cousin says it's infantigo but I'm not sure. If it is how do I treat it?
Infantigo what i could have done to prevent it? My daughter who is two had a spot on her ear this past sunday, I didnt really think anything of it until this morning, I noticed that it had became really red and had started to get bigger, it looked really infected so i made an appt, with her pedatrician turns out she has infantigo from a spider bite, i didnt even know she got bit but what could have i done to prevent her from getting infantigo I feel so bad it hurts her so bad god am i a bad mom for not noticeing this sooner The spot is not on the lobe its on the middle part of the ear, the doctor scraped her ear and had test ran on it to determne if it was a spider bite, this is how she came to the conclusion that its was a spider bite,
Infantigo as an adult? I have the early symptoms of Infantigo (Impetigo to some). I used to get it a lot as a kid, about twice a year, always without fail in the same place (between my eye and ear). Is it usual for someone with a history of it to get it as an adult (late teen - I'm 19). The last time I remember having it was 2006 or 2007. If it were in a different place then I would say its just coincidental but it's always in the same place (this time it is in a slightly different place, but not far off (pretty much next to my eye). I don't know anyone else who has it and haven't been near any kids. I also haven't done any close contact sports (to be honest, I haven't done any sports lol). Thanks. Thanks.
Infantigo? Any advice? Ok so my little guy (the older one 21 months old) has infantigo. The doctor recommended we use Bacitracin (spelling I know). It is a cream. Today my stepmom told me to wipe the area with alcohol to dry it up and keep it from spreading, which I have NOT done. There are tiny blister/coldsore looking things and they seem to be spreading. He does drool sometimes which seems to have irritated the area. Anyone have any luck using the cream alone or should I try the alcohol to dry it up then use the cream? or any other ideas? I was surprised he didnt prescribe one as well. But he said if it gets worse he would give one. I cant imagine it getting worse, as some of it has started to scab over on its own...
who knows a lot about Infantigo? i'm doing a report for my school so that they can learn and be prepared for this bacterial infection called infantigo i need a little more information on it i know you can go online and try to find thigs about it but i have dilup and just recently i had a case show up on my left ankle and my mom told me it was from scraching and yes but its been there for atleast 2-3 weeks i just showed her today and she told me plane and simple that it was infantigo P.S. it is also known as impetigo (or something like that) any infromation is helpful i would love to here from you look forward to it tata for now

should i store my antibiotic in the fridge? my son just got some SULFAMETHOXAZOLE (yeah thats a mouthful) for his infantigo, i know with like amoxacylin (might not have spelled that right)(you know the stuff you get with a ear infection) they say to store it in the fridge. just wondering if i should do it with this. the doctor nor the pharmacist said anything about it, but i want to make sure.
What is the main difference between germs like Staph and Strep? I always thought they were mainly the same, and they just grew in different areas. My mom refered to Staph infections as Infantigo. We were told small children get down on a level with more germs... and have less capability to clean themselves. Hence they got more infections in little nicks or small rough places like on a knee or heel of their hand. And if a human were tired or immunities were down due to stress or fear then Strep would infect the throat. And that they (Staph and Strep) were extremely common germs found on almost all surfaces. Is this true?
Infantigo or cold sore? 4yr old? just saw a large bump right under the top lip. Basically when the lip closes its hidden. It has a slight red rim around the bump. the side is like the large letter O a little bigger. he was exposed last year to the herpes virus, ugh im just lost. i asked if it hurtsand he said no, but then again it hasnt poped.

infintigo CAME BACK,I HAVE PSORIASIS ON HANDS & FEET? MY SON,HUBBY AND DOG ALL CAUGHT INFINTIGO. WE TREATED IT AND TOOK ALL ANTIBIOTICS,WASHED WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP AND WASHED ALL SHEETS ADN CLOTHES. IT CAME BACK AGAIN. AM I NOT DOING SOMETHING RIGHT. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF YOU HAVE A SORE AND SCRATCH IT,IS IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE DIRTY NAILS OR SOMETHING IN MY HOUSE IS NOT CLEAN. I HAVE A FAIRLY CLEAN HOUSE,BUT MAKES ME WONDER. what could this be on my face? okay i get cold sores kind of a lot but i haven't had one in like 3 months. but last night my dog was jumping on me and scratched my face and when i woke up this morning i have a bump on the corner of my mouth then throughout the day it turned into 3-4 little bumps then spread to my face. well it connects to my lip. I was wondering if this could be infantigo or a cold sore? and i was wondering could my dog of gave it to me somehow? How can i help get rid of it? please help =/ i have prom this weekend. thanks.
18 month old with unknown rash/bump? what does it sound like to you? three months ago my son woke up with 2 red bumps on his back. i didnt pay much attention, thought ant bites. well the next couple of days more appeared and old ones not clearing up. went to the doctor and she told me chicken pox. (had a feeling it wasnt, already had vaccine) about 2wks went by and they started getting worse. some stayed the same but others got bigger, filled with honey-colored pus.(not ozzing) took him back and doc said it was still pox but now infected from scrachting. was put on anti-biotics but no improvment. took him back after meds then the doc told me it was a staph infection and he needed a stronger med. while taking the new meds new ones appeared so i got frustrated and took him to the local ER. the doctor there told me they were all bug bites. (which i know is not possible). i then took him to another hospital & two diff. doctors told me they had no clue. we have ruled out staph, pox, infantigo, bites, scabies, mollescum contaguisom. any suggestion? the reason we say its not bites (doc agreed) is b/c some of the same bumps have been there for 3months. although others have cleared up havnt taken him to any specialist but am trying. here the problem, i have medicaid and for thoose who dont know u have to pick a pcp. i called around and other doctors wont see me b/c i have this certain dr picked as my pcp. the only way i could get a second opinion was to got to a hospital (the 2nd one was a pediatric hospital...the ones who were baffaled) the other option would be have my pcp refer to a specialist b/c i wanted a second opinion she said no and seemed very offended, like i was insulting her intelligence. i am now in the process of changing doctors but with medicaid it takes a while. urgggg...i have been so upset with all of this
i am trying to get rid of scars on my arm from a.......? i just recently had an infantigo staff infection on my arm and it pretty much covered my hole forearm and stopped at my elbow......well now its done healing and some of it scared i think bad but every one keeps telling me different stuff and im just confused now on what to-do about it help!!!!!! plzzzz
My toddlers poo looked mouldy? My son went to the toilet this morning and did a big poo, When I looked in the toilet after him it looked all mouldy?! He ate very little yesterday and looks like he's got infantigo (Impetigo) on his face. Going to take him On call docs today but anyone know of a reason his stools may be looking like this? My child has been really sick....? He is six years old and hyper so we are in a constant battle for weight gain. He is only 54 lbs now. In the last 22 days he has had Pneumonia, bronchitis, strep throat and two ear infections, and infantigo. we have use three different antibiotics... full courses. He has miss three weeks of school. He returned to school two days ago. this morning he once again woke up with vomiting and a fever again. I understand children always get sick but this seems like way to much!! Any Ideas. my boyfriend has this weird skin......? thing. it starts in spring when the sun hits him. it forms blisters, like sun poisoning. his mother said that the drs called it infantigo or something like that. any ideas?
i need help, i have a rash on my face? hi, for the past year now, every few weeks or month or so i break out in the rash around my mouth. its slightly itchy but not badly. its like lots of little spots gathered in one area and i noticed if touch it it starts to spread quickly. its not sore, somtimes its starts as one spot. the only bad thing about it is how it looks of course I went to the doctor about it, she said it was " Infantigo " but i have looked what infantigo is on the internet and it looks awful, what i have on my face doesnt look as bad as that and doesnt dry out unless i use cream on it. please help its a reaccuring nightmare, i just want it to go away..
I have this weird rash on my foot...? I thought it started off as ant bites, but over a few weeks, or maybe it's been a month or so, I don't know. Anyway, it has turned into red circles on my foot and the skin on them dries and peels off. It itches a little, but not too bad, but I feel like it is spreading. I have gotten a couple more bites lately on my hands and arms that are starting to peel and there are a lot more on my foot now. Any idea what this could be? It doesn't look like ring worm or infantigo. Almost like psoriasis, but not quite.
What are the sores on/in my nose after Strep Throat? I've always been extremely prone to getting Strep Throat. I have it multiple times a year. EVERY single time afterwords, I get a awful rash (more like blisters) on my nose. It normally starts inside my nostrils and works it way to the tip of my nose. It's even been so bad that it moved down my nose, onto the skin above and actually onto my lip. It is EXTREMELY painful and like i mentioned earlier, very blister like. My doctor said it was "probably" infantigo, but after doing research I am pretty sure it is not. The topical is gave me also seems to make it worse. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Neosporin does not seem to help and I take antibiotics while sick and I still break out. Any answers are greatly appreciated :) Thanks!
blue dot on childs face? My 6 year old sister developed some kind of strange rash on her face, that the doctor "thought might be possibly" infantigo. The rash went away, but in its place left a strange small dot on the side of my sisters face, semi-close to the hair line. It is almost completely blue, and almost looks like a blue tinged pimple. However it is EXTREMELY painful for her, and even the mention of touching it or taking her to the doctor to get it checked out sends her into tears, closely followed by her hiding in her closet- abnormal behavior from a usually very brave little girl. My mom and myself have called various doctors around our area, but no one seems to be working in the summer- every appointment is at least a month out. Does anyone have any idea what this might be and if it is potentially dangerous to her? She doesn't seem to notice it, and there have been no other health problems, but i worry it is something we should not ignore.
How to make scars fade?!? Ok i know that if you have a scar most likely they will never completely go away. i have scars all over my body and ive gotten used to them actually. when i was 5 i had infantigo and chicken pox at the same time, and im a scratcher so ya i scratch every sore etc :/ so they turn into scars. the main problem is i that alot of dark scars on my leg and this summer im going to camp which means of course im guna wear shorts because its guna be soooo hot. butt my mum hates it when i wear shorts etc because of the dark scars on my legs, only because i used to be a cutter:/ so yupp. so is there anything that will help make my scars fade at least a lil? thanks!
really weird rash won't go away? for a month now, i've been getting covered in this small, red spots. It first started on my inner thighs, which i just thought it was just from my legs rubbing together, but then it spread upwards. Its now on my wrists, in the elbow area, stomach, near my shoulders, and its still on my legs. I think it spread up to the right side of my neck. They are very itchy but they don't grow any bigger. it's not bug bites because I tried different creams for that and they haven't gone away. When I went to the doctor, he said it was infantigo but it looks NOTHING like it to me. and no one i've came in contact with got it so i don't think its contagious. I tried eczema cream on it that we have but that didn't work either. All help is appreciated!
whats the best way? whats the best way to get rid of scars. when i was younger i had that thing cant remember infantigo or some shit like that. never mind lol. but point is i hav scars like on my legs. whats the best cream or something to get rid of them. also i have pale ass legs lol xD coz of said scars i havnt worn anything other then long jeans for the last 10 years. lol. im really embarrased and self conscious of it. please help and no way im going in a solarium and i dont do sun lol. so dont suggest tanning at the beach. lol. coz it aint gonna happen xD

What is infantigo? help!? My boyfriend is a wrestler and he said he has that and a lot of the guys have ringworm. Are those the same? If not what's the difference? And how do I avoid getting it?
