Toddler beds? My 14 month old son is about a month away from getting out of his crib. The sad thing is at 13 month he just started sleeping through the night. Now we have to face fighting him into a toddler bed, I'm afraid. Are there any toddler beds that keep kids inside them? How did you do with keeping your toddler in his new bed? This is going to be a huge fight with him and I'm so afraid especially since we've been through SO MUCH trying to get him to sleep through the night. Any help? My son just turned 14mo old. He wouldn't understand picking out a new bed or sheets...he is still a baby! He's not 2 or 3 years old yet. I would never kick him out of his own crib because another baby was coming, there is no other baby. I'm just afraid he's VERY VERY close to climbing out and I don't want him to get hurt. That's all.He is in the 90th % for height and if he really wanted to, he could get out, I expect it any day now.

toddler beds? yes i have a jardine "lifetime" crib and i want to convert to a toddler bed but i cannot find a conversion kit, well i have the siderails but no hardware or instructions does anyone know where to find that kinda stuff if not can you recommend any good toddler beds?? i want to thank you for the first answer duh!!! I am 20 years old and have a 18 month old baby boy, he sleeps with me almost everynight since I am a single mother and live alone and do not mind at all. I have been co sleeping with him since I braught him home from the hospital. When he goes to his fathers on the weekend he sleeps in his own bed though. He refuses to sleep in his crib here so I am thinking of buying him a toddler bed from like babies r us or something. But I wanted to know is it okay to put a 18 month old in a toddler bed now? Will it be safe? Is it worth it for me to buy it now? What are the Pros and Cons about them? Thanks in advance. What type of beds should I buy for my toddler and newborn??? I have a toddler and I am getting ready to have a new baby. When should I switch my babies from their cribs to toddler beds? I have identical twin boys. They sleep in seperate cribs. Both of them pull up to stand, and one of them almost gets out! He gets over stuff all over the house to get what he wants. They're only 10 months old! I thought this was way too far away from going to toddler beds. I'm aware of the PBA issue, but guess what I'm asking is whether there is any research that shows cause for concern around plastic that is not used for bottles, food storage, utensils... Concerned about whether PBAs are known to 'off-gas' and therefore shouldn't even be used when as a child's bed frame. I've been unable to locate any research on this type of use.

Are "drop cribs" and convertible cribs (cribs that convert to toddler beds) the same? My husband and I are having our first child. We've selected a crib on our registry which is a converter crib (converts to a toddler bed). It is also adjustable. I wanted to know if anyone knows if this type of crib is the same as the "drop cribs" which have recently been recalled by manufacturers because of infant deaths. I want to make sure that we don't order the convertible crib if it's the same thing!

Toddler beds into bunk beds? Probly a dumb question, but my kids are in toddler beds, and with the prices of bunk beds, I can't move them into one anytime soon. I was wondering if anyone has stacked their toddler beds to make bunk beds out of them. Both beds have rails, so I'm not worried about the fall out factor. And most bunks that you can separate are bolted together pretty simply. Just don't know about bolting (solid wood) toddler beds the same way....

Transitioning to toddler beds? Ok so I am transistioning my twins to toddler beds. They were great sleepers but now that they can get out of their beds...wow they never stop. Question about toddler beds? I am putting my two children in a room together while we are in this small apartment. I want to get two toddler beds. My kids are 2 and 4 and The toddler mattresses are so uncomfortable. Does anyone know if they make soft toppers for these mattresses?? How did you get your child to start sleeping in a toddler bed? My son is almost 2, I am pregnant with our third, due in Feb, I've got two toddler beds and one crib. So I was planning on getting him into a toddler bed before Feb anyway but hadn't put much thought into it. But now my son has figured out how to get out of the crib, so I guess now would be a good time to start. My daughter is 4, I don't remember having a problem with her, she was so much more advanced and I was a single mother at the time so she had always slept with me in a real bed not a crib so moving her to her own bed was really easy. So even though he is my second I feel kinda clueless on how to go about getting him to start sleeping in a toddler bed. He was a premie and seems a little slower with his learning and I know that he will be up and down all night and that he will get into things quietly that we may not hear right away. I know a lot of kids do that. We block off most of the house with baby gates but now he can climb over those too. continued read on.... I am not a deep sleeper and most of the time I hear every little thing, but he has gotten up a few times when I didn't hear him until 10 min or so later, estimating. Do any of you have a toddler who sleeps in a full sized bed instead of the regular toddler bed? I bought my son the typical toddler sleigh bed with the rails. He rolls out every night and it wakes him up.
