1. _(Name here)_ and _(name here) sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a tragic abrupt miscarriage. then comes blame, then comes dispare, two hearts broken beyond repair, (name here) leaves (name here) and takes the tree, D-I-V-O-R-S-E.

2. Doesn't she have a significant other to coupe with? This is a very personal issue. Some times people just need to be left to those closet to them, isolated, nourished for a time and disconnected from the rest of the World.

Healing has to take place within. Sometimes space is best. Doesn't she have a hubby or honey?

If you have to say something just make your availability (availability to console) known.

Just because you're a friend it doesn't mean you can preform miracles and make someone get over something so horrible. People need to defeat their personal obstacles within, support from others is vital but it isn't going to solve anyone's personal struggles.

3. There is nothing so bad as loosing a child. Whatever stage of development he/she was.

I would simply send a message saying something like "thinking of you...."

Because no matter what you say, it will not be worth anything to a grieving mother except perhaps for her to know she is not alone.

As someone once said, there are words for people who loose loved ones - widow, widower etc., but non for a parent who has lost a child as the thought is simply too dreadful.

Keep it simple, so she knows you are there but stay away from poetry - it's not the time for that, right now, for her.

4. You should write it your self.

Suddenly the fear is here.
Suddenly the love is gone.
Suddenly your dreams are none.

I can't understand the pain that you feel.
I can't know how you are doing.
I can't comfort you since i don't know.

Feel the warmth of my rose.
Feel the despair of your loss.

Dreams of a family are now gone, for now.

5. An Australian poet named Henry Lawson wrote a poem about 100 years ago called "The Water Lily". It's a story about a 'lonely young wife' who dreams about a child singing to her from a water lily, but when the mother tries to step out after the child, she sinks and awakens from her dream. Then she realizes 'tis her dead baby's spirit that sings'. It may be too poignant for a wound so recent but that would be for you to decide. Warm well wishes.

6. This is such a traumatic time. I think you should say exactly what you have written -
that you are lost for words. That way she will know you are thinking of her.
