How many babies will a pregnant guppy have?

okay,me and my sister recently purchased two pregant guppies.how many babies will these guppies have? Also,are the babies live or eggs?thanks for your so operation.

1. They have live babies, they have anywhere from 6 to 28

2. Guppies give live birth, they are livebearers. The fry develop in the belly and come out freeswimming. Guppies can give birth from 40 fry to known records of 200 and more.

5. it depends i don't know exactly but mine seem to have between 5-10 each and only about half of them live for the best results you need a breeder nursery you can find them on-line that have a air powered filter for really cheap or you can go to wal-mart and get a net breeder (the same thing but without the filter) for 3.99 and put the mother in there and as soon as you see the little babies get the mom out or she will eat them! then they will have to stay in there for a month or so till they are big enuf to be with the big fish and yes there live and really small so be careful with them. good luck.
