At what age should your baby start hitting other babies?

Its not hard but my 14 month old is taking some swings at other babies. I thought he would of started earlier than that. Is this age normal?

4. Your question is a bit odd but I will just say my son is currently 16 months and my sister in law has a baby 4 months younger. My son started "attacking" her son as soon as he got mobile enough, around 10 & 11 months maybe. We kept them apart when we visited by putting one in a playpen until mine learned to leave hers alone.

5. depending on how you discipline it could be modeling hitting such as spanking, but i would say when he hits, be firm and consistent and put him in time out or whatever your method of discipline is. sometimes little kiddos enjoy rough housing but when they can't understand the rough housing from naughty behavior. i wouldn't let him rough house if he is or play in this manner. but he is probably at an age that his normal to have this type of response.
