What happens to the souls of aborted babies?

I think Christian babies go to Heaven, but what about the souls of the atheist babies. Does God take them to Heaven too?

I've heard atheists say that this is the only life we'll ever get so we better make the most of it. If that's what atheists believe is true, then why do they abort their babies? If they don't go to heaven, where do they go?

5. First, all religion is a sham. Second, we all come here from our home spiritual dimension to learn. Those that are aborted return to this dimension, to wait for another chance to come to Earth to learn and reach a sense of enlightenment. It is as if they missed a bus. There's another one around the bend heading this way.

6. The fact of the matter is that "Christians and Atheists" abort babies it has nothing to do with religion and you don't have a soul until you are six months old anyway.

8. All babies who die will go to Heaven. All babies are the same. There are no atheist babies. Babies can't be Christian or Atheist.

Even in Christianity, it is said that a fetus isn't a baby until "Quickening" or when the movement of the baby could be felt, which happens at about 24 weeks... (Or when a 'standard' abortion becomes illegal.)

According to the bible, killing babies isn't just a good thing, it is something that makes their god happy!

Ask a Christian friend whether he or she should feel happy to dash a child against the rocks. Your friend will most likely stare at you in horror, much less believe this idea exists in their sacred Bible.

Many Churches have found this verse quite embarrassing. It gives no wonder why priests, Jews, and Christians alike, who quote from Psalms 137, always leave out this last verse.

Not to mention the fact that the Christian and Jewish holy text actually gives instructions on when an abortion is ok... It says that if a woman is pregnant and her husband thinks it is not his, he can force her to the temple to have an abortion and if the baby isn't his, it will die in her womb and be expelled.

This nonsensical ritual, prescribed by God, to a woman suspected of infidelity, must undergo the drinking of a vile concoction made of bitter water and dust from the floor of a tabernacle. A priest calls a curse upon the woman's head to insure that if she has acted in adultery the drinking of the liquid will cause her to have a miscarriage. If she comes out clean, then she shall conceive.

Regardless of how ridiculous this procedure seems, any person who believes every word of the Bible must come to terms with the realization that the quoted God here sometimes authorizes abortion.

Then you take in to account how many times it says to kill innocent children and even EAT them in horrible acts of cannibalism... I don't understand how ANYONE can think that the Christian/Jewish god loves children...

Remember... There is no such thing as an "Innocent" since according to their nonsense, even babies are born with the stain of 'original sin'.

Here we have the horrific calling for cannibalism. It comes even more barbaric considering it calls for the devouring of their own sons and daughters.

Hardly anyone today accepts cannibalism, yet many fundamentalist Christians would have us believe that cannibalism or some other depravity will result if we choose not to believe in God or to choose another god.

This cruel curse on children attributed to God, for the sins of their parents, bears the typical harsh vengeful evil spirit that permeates the Old Testament.

How can one not conclude that these verses give the greatest insult to a loving God?

10. To the same place their atheist parents go when they die... Nowhere. There is no evidence to support the theory of souls.

11. an unborn baby or human life unlived is innocent regardless of the parent's beliefs but i would imagine the soul would find a new body to be born through.

Yes, I believe the religion of the parents doesn't matter. Whether the parents are Hindu, Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic, Christian etc etc, the souls of the babies go to Heaven.

In the last century the stillbirth rate has declined considerably but before that it was quite high. Think of all the children who died since the creation of the world. Heaven is full of them.

IMO the soul of the *potential* child will simply find another birth canal to incarnate through. Abortion doesn't murder anything; you have to be born before you can be murdered.
