When did your baby start showing there Personility? Were they more like you or like your spouse?

I daughter is 4 months old now and is just starting to become "verbal". She will coo, smile and recently would start yelling to see our reaction.. But I still can't tell what kind of baby she will be...So I am wondering, when did your baby's personility first start to shine though and who did your baby take after more.

2. Both of my little girls look and act just like me. Almost the exact same eating habits, same hobbies starting to develop, same personality. I'm convinced that certain traits can be hereditary that you normally would not think could be. More than just looks, personality, and the basics, I mean.

3. I think it was about 1 year of age when the kids' personalities really began to blossom. My daughter has many mechanically inclined abilities as my husband does. When she was 15 months, I took her to story time at the library. When story time was over, they could play with an easel in the room that was covered in bright felt, and had things the kids could stick to it. She walked over to it, and instead of playing with the bright fun stuff, she climbed inside the easel and inspected the hinges. That was a big defining moment. She's almost 4 now, and also a great little artist...she gets that from yours truly. My son is 17 months old. He is a dancing fool, like me. But he is so strong and determined just like his dad. You will soon see both of your traits in your daughter. Best wishes.

4. About 8 months, I noticed her mums temper :) She has developed that much more now she is 17 months. I believe most of your personality is born into you. Empathy, genuine kindness, even temper, shyness, patience are all to do with chemicals in the brain. Our DNA may construct our children the same way. This is unpopular with a lot of people who believe we are all individual blank slates. You can train a DOLPHIN to be kind, but only by a reward scheme. Genuine kindness and empathy will shine through when she gives you her toast, even when she wants it. It will show soon.
