What is reasonable to charge for infant care in my home?
I am not yet licensed,so it would be 1 family.
1 infant? 2 infants? 3 infants? Is it more or less for overnight?
It will be approx. 45hrs./wk.

1. My moms owns a home daycare. And its $100 a week for 1 infant, and she charges an extra $40 for overnight, she also offers a family special. The best thing to do is get licensed so you can offer childcare to low income families and receive payment from the state if that family receives assistance. But if your just looking for something to do until you get to that point. I would charge about $60- $70 a week and stay true to your original customers so you can generate the word of mouth advertisement.
2. My child went to a small daycare with only one lady running things. For infants she charged 85 a week and for toddlers she charged 65 a week. I would have to go with an extra 30-40 for overnight. Sounds about right to me.
3. i think $25.00 is standard for a child the whole day but for infants its always more expensive b/c it involves one on one. I think the ration is 1 person to two infants at most. I wouldnt do more than that or you wont be giving good care to the children. For infants its usually about $35.00 a day at home. In daycares, its up to $50.00 a day so im thinking $35.00 a day is very reasonable and they have to bring their own diapers and formula. Overnight im not sure how much it would be. It all depends if the baby sleeps throught he night or not. I would probably charge the same.
