How does it work without an infant carrier seat?

I hate infant carrier seats. They are so heavy, large and bulky and annoying. I dont want to use it with my next one, but Im wondering what the alternative is. Mainly , where do I put the baby when we go to a resturaunt. For most other places, they can go in the stroller, or carrier that attaches to you, but what do you do in a resturaunt, when they are too small to fit in a highchair?

1. baby sling, or some one has to hold them.

2. well i would but them in there car seat and put them beside me my daughter is 10months and now she is in her high chair

3. I babywear, so I just put baby in the sling.

4. you use a baby sling/wrap/etc so you have to wear the baby while out, including the resteraunt when theyre too young to sit up in the high chair...

but i cant.. my child hates them...no matter what one ive tried. she fusses and cries the whole time shes in it.

5. Baby sling or take turns holding a squirmy wiggly baby. There's not many options. I think the stroller is much more heavier and awkward to use then the baby carrier by far.

6. The only other way is hold your child like they used to do 100 years ago.

7. A baby carrier, Moby Wrap, Ergo Baby Carrier, Sling

Have someone hold them and take turns around the table

Stroller

8. You can just "wear" them in a sling or other soft carrier while eating.

9. use a sling or baby carrier then I started putting my in a high chair at home when he was 4 months because mine reclines. For shopping and going in and out of stores I got a stroller that reclines and just used that...

10. I would go ahead and use the stroller in that scenario. It wouldn't take up any more space pulled up to the table than a highchair anyway.
