How do you prepare a toddler for his new bed?

I have an 18 month old boy, and he has fallen out of his crib 3 times already. Is ready for a toddler bed? He falls asleep easily and on his own whenever he's in the crib, though. Can I ask for some tips on how t handle this? I am also due in July for another baby. I'm afraid that my boy will hurt himself badly if he keeps on crawling out of his crib.

1. what kind of crib is it? most cribs can be lower down so the kids can't crawl out.

2. i did nothing about this.i just got for my 15 months old toddler bed and she just loved,she was sleeping in there much better than her crib.
Now she is 4 yrsold and seance 6 months now she is in her big bed,own room
