How do you get an infant to keep her hat on?

I was going to get a hat for my infant since the summer is here, to shield her from the sun. But in the store when we tried them on she kept taking it off. How do you get your infants to keep theirs on?

1. theres not really a good way. some kids just dont like hats.

2. Well, my daughter is older now so she somewhat keeps them on, but they do sell hats that have straps that go under the chin. The only one we found like that came with an outfit at K-Mart, but the outfit was cute too, so it was worth $7. Try K-Mart, Wal-Mart, & Target. You're bound to find at least one at one of those stores.

3. You have to get her to forget that it is there.

4. My daughter hated them too. Target has some good ones that coordinate with their bathing suits. They are in bags in the aisles. it had a chin strap and didn't slip down over her eyes.

We just had to strap it on and then distract her to keep her from wailing! Good Luck.

Usually it was easier to suntan lotion her whole head and let her look like a grease monkey. More baths but fewer screaming fits.
