When do you start using stroller for your infant without the carseat?
I mean when do you start putting your infant directly in stroller as opposed to keeping the baby in carsear and then putting the car seat in a stroller. I have a 5 month old who is able to hold his neck. My husband wants to put the baby directly in the stroller. Just want to know what do other parents do. Thanks in advance!

1. Birth. When my daughter was born she didn't have a stroller that her car seat went into. If she can't hold her head up you lay it down and then slow as they gain control you sit it up.
2. Depends On Weight! I have noticed allot of People Placing there Babies in car seats at around 4 Months, with out car Seat
3. i started around 4 months!
mum to 3.5yrold, 2.5yrold & 8month old!
4. I still use the car seat with the stroller, b/c my daughter can't sit up unassisted yet. I'm going to use the car seat until she can.
5. Birth is fine. These days you can easily find a stroller that reclines flat and lets your baby be comfortable. At 5 months your baby should be able to sit in a stroller just fine without the carseat.
6. I've never used a carseat in her stroller. If your kiddo is already 5 months old I think it's fine to not use the car seat anymore.
7. My daughter is 6 months, and we don't use it anymore. But she has out grown the car seat it came with altogether. Her little toes hang off :)
8. Around 5 months! :o) She absolutely loved facing forward in the stroller!
*She is now 7 months and still in the infant carrier so we still use the carrier with the stroller sometimes (like when she's sleeping).. but if she's awake, we put her in the stroller without the carseat since she seems to enjoy it more! We are getting ready to ditch the infant carrier as her car seat as well since she's now able to sit unassisted and will be able to sit in shopping carts (with her car cover) and high chairs (again, with cover) at resturants!
9. Whenever your baby can sit up... or even if they can't sit up completely, most of the strollers that come in the travel systems have a reclining option... You can use it anytime if that's the case. When my son was a newborn, we reclined the back of the stroller all the way down so it laid flat and we could put him in it like that and as he got older we raised it little by little until he was able to sit up fully with the back straight up. Altough it seems more comfortable to have it in a slightly reclined position all the time.
10. Once my daughter got good control over her head and neck she sat in just the stroller. I think even before then, I just reclined it a little more. I never used the carseat with the stroller, however, my daughter was born in the winter so we never used it when she was real little, unless I was cooking or something.
11. I started when my babies were able to keep their heads up and support their upper body weight. Give it a try and see how he does. It was more conveinent to keep the baby in the car seat, but that's your preference.
12. we started at birth too. babies don't need to be able to control their head to sit in the stroller without the car seat. we mostly use the car seat just because my son falls asleep all the time so it's easier getting him in and out of the car. though if he starts to really sweat in his car seat we just put him in the stroller.
