1. everyone come from the stage that you are describing...we need to get the baby burped after every feed..but if the baby doesnt burp even after you have tried everything than may be he didnt swallow too much air at that feeding....if my baby didnt burp after her feeding, i used to hold her up in a upright position for half an hour..bit tough, but hey we would do anything for them ..right? if the baby is breast fed chances of her swalloing air are less than when she is fed with a bottle

2. Some babies burp a lot, some don't. If he's not cranky, then you have nothing to worry about. My son burps a lot, but still farts all the time (loud too!)

3. He's just not getting alot of air well drinking which is a good thing, keep giving him a pat to be sure but that is what it sounds like to me. My 6 month old never burped when I would pat,rub her back, and she now burps on her own.

4. r u burping him right? try rubbing and patting him on the back over ur shoulder after an oz.

5. As long as you're spending adequate time to burp, like for a few minutes halfway through the bottle, then for 5 minutes after he's done, I'm sure he's doing ok. It could just be because those Dr. Brown's bottles work really well at eliminating excess air during feeding.

6. bottle feeding tends to get you gassy. put your baby on her stomach and that could help make her burp. dont do it unattended.

7. i wouldnt but if he gets fussy then yes my son still farts alot he can make the whole house smell and every one thinks he pooped but i breastfed him. not bottle but when i did sometimes he would burp. u might want to talk to his or her doctor about it just to make sure or call if u can. well good luck.

8. some babies just don't burp much. don't be concerned. if he's not fussy from the gas, he's fine. if he needed to burp and wasn't getting what he needed, he'd be spitting up.

9. Swallowed air may provide a feeling of fullness, which may mean your baby won't drink as much milk as she would otherwise, but the only downside to this is she will demand her next feed sooner.

Swallowing some air during feeding is unavoidable, so it's important to not 'stress out' over it. In most situations, swallowed air will cause your baby no discomfort whatsoever. The swallowed air will either be absorbed by her body or pass right through.

It's absolutely fine.

10. i use dr browns too, i would only use them at night (pump during the day, for the night bottles, it made night feedings nice)
anyways, my baby didn't burp for the first month or so, there were small ones now and then, but nothing crazy
and the gas never bothered her either
so maybe she'll burp sooner or later, or never, that's ok..

when i first got her to burp was if i laid her down to change her diaper then picked her back up and burped her.. i don't know why, but that's what worked :-)

and it's good that he has gas young, becuase if they get it when they are older, it seems to bother them more..
my baby girl could clear a room!

11. My son didn't burp a lot either. I would put him over my shoulder to burp him until my mom told me to hold him upright on my lap while supporting his head with my hand and kind of tilt his head upright (off of his chest) and burp him that way. It worked great! He still doesn't burp a lot but that got him to burp at least once during a feeding.
