How long to take a newborn baby out to park?

I am going to be having a C-section next week. My boyfriends family is planning a family get together 10 days after he is born and I have my C-section. I really feel like it's too early to take him out and for me to go out as well because of the surgery. Any thoughts? How long did you wait to take out your newborn baby?

1. Typically the recovery time depends on the patient and their pain/ inflammation levels. Doctors do recommend no strenuous work i.e. lifting objects over 10 lbs., running, walking up stairs, or athletics for up to six weeks.

My wife need at least one and half month to recover from the surgery. But she still could not bring heavy stuff until fully recovery.

Some women are feeling great after a few weeks. Others take two or three months to really get back to feeling 'normal'. Are you a fast healer?
