What time does you toddler wake up in the morning?

I have a 17 month old toddler who wakes up at 6am every morning. She goes to bed at 7pm every night and sleeps through with no problems, but I have friends whose toddlers sleep until 8am. I just wondered how long your little ones sleep? Thanks!

1. My 26 month old gets up at 5am! I've tried putting her to bed later and cutting out her naps but the less sleep she has the earlier she wakes up. If I let her have a long nap in the day she will sometimes sleep that night 7pm - 6.30am which doesn't really make sense lol

2. Maybe it's because she goes to sleep so ealry, or maybe she doesn't eat close enough to bed time. For adults, it's better not to eat closer to bedtime, but for toddlers, it's alright because they don't have the weight that an adult has. If I were you, I would give her something more filling before bed time and that may help her sleep longer. My son will be one in a couple of weeks. His bed time is 9pm and he sleeps until 7:30 - 8am. I usually let him snack on some cheerios before he goes to bed. It helps to knock him out longer =) Hope this helps out!

3. I think those who sleep later usually are put to bed later. I know a couple whose baby doesn't get up till 9.30 but that's cos they have trouble getting him down before 11pm.

4. my almost-15 month old wakes up just before 7am, generally. Sometimes it's closer to 6.

My boys all slept until 9 or 10 though, it wasn't until #4 came along that I had to drag myself out of bed at a normal hour. :)

5. My 2 1/2 yr old goes to bed at 6:30 pm and gets up between 7:30 and 8am.

6. My 2 and half year old goes to bed between 8pm and 9pm and gets up between 8am and 9am. Most kids who sleep longer go to bed later. My sisters kids also have her up around 6am every morning and go to bed at 7pm.

7. I have a 23 month old who we used to put down at 6pm and she woke up at 6am but we now keep her up till 7pm and she sleeps till 7pm so seems she sleeps for 12 hours ish so maybe try putting your toddler down to sleep later it may work for you to .

8. My 14 month old goes to bed at 7.30pm each night and is usually up between 7:30am-8:00am each morning. She does occassionally wake up around 5am but will always get herself back to sleep and wake up again at her usual time!

9. My 13 month old girl goes to bed at 9 pm every night. She gets up at 7 am every day. At times she sleep past 7 am but depends how tired she is. At times she be in bed before 9 pm at night depends how much napping she got in.

Also I have 8 year old and 5 year old boys. They also go to bed at 9 pm and they get up at 7 in the morning.

10. hey both of my two used to get up between 5 and 5:30 everyday and i was always tired for i love my sleep so a friend who is a nanny gave me these following tips and with using them all together they really worked;
no naps at all keep them busy and a tip outside in the fresh air everyday (park,even shop on cooler days)
give dinner at 5pm not to large but filling
nice warm bath before bed maybe with Lavender (Johnson's do a good bedtime one)
After the bath keep your little one in a calm and relaxed environment and give a warm drink of milk and settle down to bed at 7pm.
choose a realistic time you would like your little one to get up because your mates are very very lucky for 8am, say 7am and and when they wake up at 6am go bring them into ur room stick a film on for them and cuddle they should go to sleep again if lights are kept out and ur lying down and everything is calm but u do need to get up at the time you decided maybe with an alarm clock and wake your lil one up as well and hopefully after a couple of weeks they should wake up closer to your chosen time.
