What age is too late for a toddler to learn a second language?

Does anyone know of any other DVD's or something that I can show my toddler so that he can learn spanish? I do not know any language but English, but I want my son to be bilingual. The only thing that he watches now that has a little bit of spanish is Dora and Diego, but that isn't enough to be fluent. Can anybody give me some advice on how I can have my toddler fluent in the English and Spanish language? FYI: My son is a year and a half old.

1. Wuzzy. THat is a good program to learn second and more languages. I was told children can learn other languages easier if taught from birth to six or seven.... but can still learn older, it is just a little tougher.

2. What i hear the first 5 years are very important in teaching new things. So your on the right track. I just don't know how far you will get if you don't know the language yourself unless you learn right along with him. Just start using simple Spanish words to begin with and go from there. I don't have any ideas to learn it. ...Oh the library carries Books on Tape teaching Spanish, maybe you should look there.

3. Never too late.

4. If your toddler has a favorite DVD, try changing it to Spanish if it has language selection.
