How can I ensure that I conceive a Baby Girl?

I desperately want a baby girl. I have conceived and am raising five sons. I really want one more but I want it to be a baby girl. I had been hoping for a baby girl after my first boy but each time I got another boy. Please only answer if you have good suggestions.

1. The only way to be sure is to go to a clinic and let them separate the sperm. Otherwise, it is a 50 50 chance. The whole drink lots of citrus or have sex 3 days before you ovulate things are just wives tales.

3. I hope you get a girl!

I heard eating more veggies and no meat, and more sea food and healthy food gives you a Girl

and i heard eating meat, and a lot of red meat, gives you a boy.

but this is for the fathers eating habits!

so maybe make your husband/babys father a vegetarian for the months your trying to concieve!

this is partly an old wives tale i believe though..

unfortunately old wives tales is all you can use to help you with the sex. but hey, its worth a shot.

4. There isn't anything foolproof out there you can do, unless you have the money for 'high-tech' options such as sperm sorting, PGD, Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis etc.
And even THOSE aren't 10000% foolproof!

I'd be very wary of the 'natural' ways to select your gender, while there is the Shettles Method, there is also a method called the O+12 method, which completely contradicts Shettles altogether. It's basically the opposite theory.

My most sincere advice I can give you is to please re-consider having another child at this stage, it's just not fair on the baby (or yourselves) to have such a strong gender bias. A slight preference is harmless (as much as others may disagree)...but when it gets to the point of desperation maybe it's time to put the plans on hold for a while.

5. I have seen many vegetarians give birth to baby girls. Personally I think vegetables may be the answer. But there is no way to prove eating vegetables contribute to giving birth to a baby girl. If you have no other better method/way, you and your spouse can give it a try by cutting the meat consumption and increase your vegetables intake. Best of luck :)

6. There is no sure fire way of knowing or planning for how to determine the sex of the baby before you get pregnant.

7. Rather than pinning your hopes on bits and pieces of wishy washy information, I suggest you get a copy of the Prince or Princess Guide written by midwife and baby gender selection expert, Alicia Pennington.
